It'll be playable the 25th of November, providing enthusiasts of local multiplayer titles another opportunity to explore one of 2025's strongest additions in the genre. A Challenging Beginning Wizard of Legend 2 adopted the roadmap of numerous lesser-known titles. Its creators made it available in beta testing in late 2024 on PC platforms, prior to launching it fully, in conjunction with PS5 and Xbox editions, in the summer of 2025. At launch, it got absolutely slammed. Merely less than a third of its audience ratings were favorable. Its Steam reviews were "varied", based on close to 2,000 assessments, with many users critiquing the overall roughness and litany of bugs upon release. Console players also criticized that the cooperative mode, a major attraction for the game, was largely non-functional. Steady Improvements But similar to many early access titles that launch in unpolished conditions, The Wizard of Legend Sequel has been shaping up. In recent months, its developers have deployed multiple updates designed to fix these issues. Having played The Wizard of Legend Sequel more than every other new game release in the current year, I can confidently say it's a bit more functional relative to at launch (on console, anyway). It has achieved the stage where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a multiplayer game to work. Not bad! Once It Works, This Game Excels And if The Wizard of Legend Sequel works, it truly delivers. From an isometric perspective, you battle through elemental-themed levels by using magic in Hades-like gameplay. A great deal of sprinting, lots of avoiding, lots of managing cooldowns. This game is incredibly rapid and remarkably inventive; when you mix and match your spells with a friend's, you can create highly effective pairings. Nintendo Switch Edition Details While the Nintendo Switch edition has not been thoroughly evaluated, it's worth noting Nintendo's famously strict guidelines for certification for Switch games. Its creators confirmed publicly that the Nintendo release of The Wizard of Legend Sequel includes all updates that were implemented in the current year.
